wrK Hall
A cooperative workspace in Red Lodge, MT
For years, I’ve worked remotely—often from home, sometimes from cafés, occasionally from coworking spaces in larger cities. What I’ve learned over two decades of remote work is that I’m most productive when I can feel the steady hum of other people working alongside me—ideas forming, progress happening, momentum shared, sometimes collaboratively, sometimes simply in parallel.
With recent changes in how our adjacent buildings are being used, we now know that this project will live in the historic W.R. Hall Building and will be known as the wrK Hall.
The wrK Hall is not a new business under the Magpie brand. It’s a separate venture—one we’ve envisioned for a long time here in Red Lodge. It will carry the same care, intention, and love for community, but it’s its own thing, built for a different purpose.
The wrK Hall is imagined as a small, intentional coworking space designed for focus, creativity, and steady productivity—without noise, performative hustle, or café-style distraction. A place where work feels supported simply by being shared.
We’re currently looking toward a summer / early fall opening, aligned with a thoughtful remodel of the building.
Before moving forward, I want to understand who this space would serve and how it could best support the way you actually work. This form is simply an invitation to be part of shaping what it becomes.
